Mary Jean is living the life. Every morning, she wakes up and heads to work at the Happiest Place on Earth. That’s right. She’s an intern for Walt Disney World and for the past five weeks, Mary Jean has given us a sneak peak into what it’s like to be a Disney employee. She’s living the dream with probably one of the most coveted internships and through her vlogs, we feel as if we’ve interned right along side her.
This week, Mary Jean explains how an introverted person like herself has developed the skill of going up to people and talking to them about their experience, needs, questions, or concerns.
Whether you have the opportunity to work alongside Mickey Mouse or for another company, having the courage to go up and talk to people is a critical skill. It helps develop networking skills and shows that you really care about the customer’s experience and needs.
In this vlog episode, Mary Jean shares some tips she’s learned from talking to people and explains how important it can be for networking and future opportunities.
