Introduction: This blog takes you on a journey through the frustrations and the triumphs of the job search process as experienced here at the University of Delaware Career Services Center. We hope you enjoy reading the articles and perhaps learn a few things along the way. Please feel free to join the conversation!
Now let’s meet the writers…
Hi! My name is Sam Murphy, a Jersey girl in my second year here at the University of Delaware. I am a Communication major with a minor in Advertising, hoping to pursue the public relations industry upon my graduation.
Here at the Career Services Center, the other interns and I are responsible for promoting professional, career-related resources and events through different social media platforms. I love having the role of transferring this information to students, and encouraging them to take advantage of all the great opportunities UD has to offer!
In addition to my involvement as a Social Media & Marketing Intern for the Career Services Center, I am also the Meeting’s Director for UD’s Public Relations Student Society of America chapter. As a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, an organization that supports the Ronald McDonald House, I actively participate in fundraising efforts focused on this philanthropy.
I am grateful for all of the opportunities UD has presented to me thus far, and can’t wait to see what the next two years have in store for me!
